Help End Hunger, One Jar at a Time

America’s Second Harvest is your local food bank providing more than 8.1 million pounds of food each year! In 2011, Second Harvest helped more than 130,000 that were at risk for hunger. In Georgia one in every eight persons doesn’t know where or when they will receive their next meal. Peanut butter is one of the best staples for the America’s Second Harvest food bank. The emphasis of nutrition is especially important to low-income families and seniors. Peanut butter will help provide a much needed source of protein to the thousand of underprivileged children and adults in our community. All too often, protein, an important building block for a healthy lifestyle, is frequently absent from the diets of those in need.

Help us end hunger by bringing a jar or more of peanut butter to the America’s Second Harvest exhibit space. In return, you will receive a special gift from the Southern Peanut Growers AND a $3 off coupon to next year’s show!

Do you know of a deserving organization or charity that is need of some help? Submit a paragraph to WRHQ 105.3 explaining their cause and why they deserve a cash donation, and they could win $150, $250 or $400!
